Quiltin' Cowgirl Design's Lincoln Star Quilt

This is my personal quilt which I entered into the Black Hills Quilter's Guild Show in 2011. It won Second Place - People's Choice!

The star design is that of Lincoln County, New Mexico. The design would have been worn by Pat Garrett when he shot Billy the Kid, if indeed the Kid died when he was 21 years of age. Just like the Tootsie Roll Pop, the world may never know!

The main truth about the quilt is the cowboy silhouette bucking out in the center was taken from a picture of my father riding bronc in college!

When you look at my collection of patterns you will notice that I have a plethora of buffaloes! They are very near and dear to my families' heart! We are blessed with the opportunity to annually participate in the Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup, Good Lord willing we will get to do it again next year!
